If you would like a website we recommend purchasing one of our web hosting packages. Our web hosting packages all come with the same features just different size quota so if you only require a small amount of space our "small" web hosting package should suit your needs if however you believe you may require more HDD then we recommend selecting one of the bigger packages. If you ever need more storage on your web hosting package simply log into your account and submit a ticket, we will be happy to add the extra disk space to your package.

We also recommend you purchase a domain so your visitors can find your website easily on the web. We offer a variety of domain extensions.

I am quite technical and want a website.

To have your website up and running we recommend you purchase one of our web hosting packages and a domain. If you already have your own domain you can either transfer the domain to us or update the nameservers to ns1.hostchaos.com and ns2.hostchaos.com. Our web hosting packages come with cPanel and a variety of cPanel plugins to help make installation of your website a lot quicker, easier and smoother.

I am not very technical and want to run a chat server.

If you would like to set up your own chat system so you and your friends can chat together whenever you want from wherever you want then we recommend you look into our 3-in-1 package which includes an IRCd server, web hosting and a free ZNC. If you choose to purchase an IRCd from us either alone or in the 3-in-1 offer you also have the choice to have a number of different software processes installed and configured automatically for you, free of charge.

We also recommend you purchase a domain so your users can locate you on the internet via an easily remembered name, this will save them having to remember your more complicated IP address. Back to top

I am very technical and want to run a chat server.

If you are very technical and would like to have your own chat system you have a couple of choices:

1) You could purchase one of our 3-in-1 packages which will provide you with web hosting for you to install a website of your choice on, an IRCd server for you to install the internet relay chat daemon and other software on and a free ZNC to keep you logged in at all times.

2) You could purchase a VPS which will provide you with more resources than an IRCd server and root access to your system to allow you to perform more tasks and duties on your server. You may also wish to purchase web hosting so you can provide a web based software application to allow your users to connect to your server.

Whichever of these you choose we also recommend you purchase a domain to help your users locate you easily on the internet.

If you are quite technical and would like to run your own server we recommend our VPS package. We provide root access with our VPS packages as well as an easy to use control panel to help you with your everyday tasks. We also provide a number of VPS tutorials in our knowledgebase which you are more than welcome to use and recommend more for us to add to the list.

We provide cPanel and WHM access with our reseller accounts giving you total control over your customers' accounts.

I want to constantly be logged in to a chat server even when my computer is off.

If you would like to always be logged into your chat server even when you're not at your computer we recommend a ZNC. A ZNC is an IRC bouncer which sits on a server and keeps your name logged in even when you're computer is off, when you reconnect to your ZNC it will play back any messages you missed so you feel like you never went away.

I want my users to be able to locate my service easily.

If you would like your users to be able to locate your service without having to remember a complicated IP address we recommend purchase a domain. A domain is an easily remembered name that your users can type to connect to your service, this means your users only have to remember the simple domain you have chosen rather than having to remember a full IP address, this makes the experience more enjoyable for your users. Be sure to check the domain you would like is available using our domain checker.
